Took a connecting flight here to Urumqi. Nice airport though we only made a stopover. Impressive handling of luggage as seen on the screen while waiting by the conveyor belt to retrieve our luggage. Kudos to the staff.

The smoking room at Boarding Gate 54 is extremely poorly designed. The ventilation is clearly inadequate, allowing smoke to leak into the main waiting area. Changsha Huanghua airport is a surprisingly large airport. It serves as a hub for Hunan province and services both domestic and international flights. It's quite large and spacious and I find that it's a bit more modern than other airports in more popular cities in China.

It's a domestic airport for local flights. They have everything for comfort waiting and flight: - you eat in different Chinese restaurants and cafes or European Starbucks or KFC in the left and right wings; - you can withdraw from ATM of Chinese Bank - a special play zone for children; - some shops
