1. Overview
LoungeFindr respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement that are reported to our designated copyright agent.
2. Content on LoungeFindr
LoungeFindr aggregates airport lounge information from multiple sources, including:
- Publicly available information from airport and lounge operator websites
- Images from Wikimedia Commons (Creative Commons licensed)
- User-submitted photographs and reviews
- Data from public APIs (Google Places, etc.)
- Original content created by the LoungeFindr team
We make every effort to use content that is either original, licensed, or falls under fair use. If you believe your copyrighted work has been used without authorization, please follow the procedure below.
3. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that content on LoungeFindr infringes your copyright, please send a written notification containing the following information:
- Identification of the copyrighted work: Describe the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notification, provide a representative list.
- Identification of the infringing material: Identify the material you claim is infringing and provide the URL(s) where the material appears on LoungeFindr.
- Your contact information: Provide your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good faith statement: Include the following statement: "I have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
- Accuracy statement: Include the following statement: "The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the owner, or authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."
- Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt of the notice within 2 business days
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material promptly (typically within 10 business days)
- Notify the content provider (if applicable) that the material has been removed
- Maintain a record of the notice and our response
6. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification containing:
- Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district
- Your physical or electronic signature
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed material within 10-14 business days, unless the copyright owner files a court action.
7. Repeat Infringers
In accordance with the DMCA, LoungeFindr will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances.
8. Good Faith
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability. If you are unsure whether material on LoungeFindr infringes your copyright, we recommend consulting an attorney before filing a notice.
